The North Carolina Black Repertory Company will provide a live performance on Monday, Dec. 17 at 6 p.m., of, "Berta, Berta." After committing an unforgivable crime and doomed to surrender his freedom, Leroy is granted one final wish: a chance to make amends with his long-lost lover Berta. Their reunion swells from a quarrelsome conjuring of the past to an impassioned plot to escape the fate that awaits them. Berta, Berta is written by Angelica Cheri, and directed by Jackie Alexander.

The Library is partnering with Wake Forest Baptist Health to present a year-long series of programs on healthy aging. Programs will take place the second Tuesday of each month in the Central Library Auditorium.
The Malloy/Jordan East Winston Heritage Center is truly unique in the Forsyth County Public Library system. Customers experience a traditional library setting, but the resources available are from the African-American perspective. The Heritage Center’s mission is to preserve African-American heritage, history, and culture.
