This September, the Walkertown Library will be presenting an art exhibit featuring the work of Dot Duggins, a local Walkertown artist. Her new oil painting - the first and only oil that Dot has ever done, titled "The Moonlight Dance," - is featured in the show along with her acrylic and watercolor pieces. We invite you to come and experience these wonderful works of art and to support your local artist!
Walkertown residents of all ages are encouraged to stop by Walkertown Branch Library with a letter for the Walkertown mayor, Kenneth Davis, between Nov. 5 - 17. We have a letter box set up and will deliver the letters for you!
When Daria Peoples-Riley heard her daughter say that she wanted to be a ballerina, she kept thinking about the odds against an African-American young woman in this field of dance. This led her to write and illustrate "This Is It", a book about an aspiring dancer that celebrates self-expression. She will be speaking about her book and participate in a special storytime and dance party at the Central Library and storytime at Reynolda Manor Branch between Nov. 16-17. Free and open to the public.
Due to technical difficulties, RBdigital is currently unavailable. Updates will be posted as they arrive.
