The Work First Family Assistance program provides temporary cash assistance for families who meet the state's financial and reserve requirements. The amount of the monthly Work First Family Assistance benefit is determined by the number of members eligible in the family, the amount of income for the family and requires the family to meet conditions of a Mutual Responsibility Agreement. This includes registration with the Employment Security Commission and developing a plan for employment, keeping children in school, and cooperating with Child Support Enforcement.

You may apply for Work First Family Assistance Monday - Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm at: The Dept. of Social Services Building

Please bring the following pieces of information for all family members with you:

  • Birth Certificates
  • Social Security Numbers
  • Verification of income of any kind
  • Verification of assets such as bank accounts, insurance policies, property, etc.
