41st Annual Bookmark Contest

Youth of all ages are invited to design a bookmark. Our judges will choose several designs from each grade or preschool age group. Winning bookmarks will be printed and distributed at all Forsyth County Public Libraries. Entries must be submitted no later than 6:00 p.m. on October 5.


Library to Partner with Wake Forest Baptist Health to Present Series on Aging Well

The Library is partnering with Wake Forest Baptist Health to present a year-long series of programs on healthy aging. Programs will take place the second Tuesday of each month in the Central Library Auditorium.


Girls With A Purpose Will Resume The First Wednesday In September

Girls With A Purpose will meet Wednesday, September 5th. Girls ages 7 - 12 will meet 3:30 - 4:30 and young ladies 13 - 18 will meet from 4:30 - 6:00 p.m. Our first meeting will feature a guest speaker who will help motivate our girls and young ladies to help prepare them for a productive school year. Girls With A Purpose gives girls and young ladies access to books, guest speakers and various activities to help them be the very best they can be .

The Carver School Road Branch of the Forsyth County Public Library is one of the most innovative branches in the library system. It was conceived as a joint venture with Forsyth Technical Community College (FTCC) as a way to serve the educational needs of an underserved population in Forsyth County. It has grown into a dynamic branch with its own unique offerings to the community. Day cares and schools are within walking distance of this campus setting.
