Free Programs for Youth in December
PROGRAMS for Youth in DECEMBER:
Saturday, December 1 @ 1:00 p.m.-----Walkertown Christmas Parade (ALL AGES) (OFF-SITE)
Come see us at the Walkertown Christmas Parade! We’ll have a Friends of the Library float and enjoy seeing our neighbors and friends as we travel along the parade route. The parade will take place along Main Street in Walkertown, so keep an eye out for all the fun!
Thursday, December 6 @ 6:15 p.m.-----Cookies and Milk with Santa (ALL AGES)
Families are invited to join us for Cookies and Milk with a very special guest, who will listen to children’s Christmas wishes and read them a story! While we wait for our special guest to arrive, we’ll have cookies, milk, and music in the auditorium and fun holiday crafts.
Wednesday, December 13th @ 3 p.m.-----Program for Kids and Teens (AGES 6-11, AGES 12-17)
Join us at Walkertown Branch Library for our Program for Kids and Teens every second and fourth Wednesday. Based on the interest on that day, we might have board games, crafts, or something entirely new to offer!
Tuesdays @ 10:30 a.m.-----Storytime (AGES 0-5)
A fun-filled 30-minute program for kids 0-5 with stories, songs, and dancing. A new theme each week!
Our storytime themes for this month are:
Dec. 4 - Kwanzaa
Dec. 11 - Hanukkah
Dec. 18 - Christmas
Dec. 25 - Library Closed
Thursdays @ 10:30 a.m.-----Music & Movement (AGES 0-5)
Join a roomful of toddlers and preschoolers for lively fun, stretching, dancing, rocking, and rolling. Rhymes, chants, and song lyrics develop emerging literacy while everything we do develops rhythm skills. Social skills and relaxed exercise complete the fun.
