Free Programs for Youth in November
PROGRAMS for Youth in NOVEMBER:
Monday Nov. 5th - Saturday, Nov. 17th-----Write to Your Mayor! (ALL AGES)
Have some questions for the person who “runs things” here in Walkertown? Good news! You can write a letter to your mayor, Kenneth Davis, drop it off at the library, and we’ll deliver the letters to him for you. November 6th is election day, the perfect day to deliver your letter!
Saturday, November 10th @ 11 a.m.-----Slime + Science = Slimence (AGES 12-17)
Teens will learn how to read recipes, measure and mix, and experiment with trial and error while making ooey gooey slime to take home and enjoy. Registration is required.
Please register at the library circulation desk or by calling 336-703-2990.
Wednesday, November 14th & 28th @ 3 p.m.-----Program for Kids and Teens (AGES 6-11, AGES 12-17)
Join us at Walkertown Branch Library for our Program for Kids and Teens every second and fourth Wednesday. Based on the interest on that day, we might have board games, crafts, or something entirely new to offer!
Tuesdays @ 10:30 a.m.-----Storytime (AGES 0-5)
A fun-filled 30-minute program for kids 0-5 with stories, songs, and dancing. A new theme each week!
Our storytime themes for this month are:
Nov. 6 - Leaves
Nov. 13 - Veterans
Nov. 20 - Thanksgiving
Nov. 27 - Winter
Thursdays @ 10:30 a.m.-----Music & Movement (AGES 0-5)
Join a roomful of toddlers and preschoolers for lively fun, stretching, dancing, rocking, and rolling. Rhymes, chants, and song lyrics develop emerging literacy while everything we do develops rhythm skills. Social skills and relaxed exercise complete the fun.
