Registration Information & Fees

During our spring and fall programs we can conduct two staff-guided programs in the park per day, one class at a time. Please indiciate on the registration form the week you would like to schedule your program(s). A Nature Education staff member will contact you with the date(s) and time(s) of your program(s). Due to the demand for our programs each group is limited to one staff-guided program per school year. A waiting list is available.

Staff-guided programs are conducted Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings. Discovery Programs can be scheduled anytime. Registration cannot be taken over the phone. Please submit a request by filling out the form below.

    3. Kindergarten - 5th Grade:
     Programs are scheduled for Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings and last 90 minutes for grade-school groups. The Nature Education staff will contact you to schedule a time.

    Pre-school:
     Programs last 60 minutes for pre-school groups. The Nature Education staff will contact you to schedule a time.

Program Fees

The following fees help to cover the cost of our programs. Groups are billed at the completion of a program.

Program Cost
Self-guided Discovery Programs $1.50 per student
Staff-guided Preschool Programs $1.50 per student
Staff-Guided Grade-school Programs $2.00 per student

Vehicles that go through the Tanglewood Park Front Gate for a nature program will be charged a gate fee as follows: Buses/15-passenger vans: $8 and cars/minivans: $2.

Bus/15-passenger van fees are not collected at the gate. Groups will be invoiced for both program and bus/15-passenger van fees and billed through the Nature Education Department. Individual car/minivan fees are collected at the time the vehicle goes through the Front Gate.

 

General Park Information

  • Tanglewood is open daily from 7:00 am – Sunset (except on Christmas Day).
  • Pets must be under control of their owner and kept on a leash no longer than six feet at all times. All pets must have current inoculations for rabies. Pets must be kept and never left unattended. Pet owners are responsible for their pets using the designated waste area and cleaning up after their pets at the designated area.
  • Golf, Horse Stables, Hiking Trails and Accommodations are available year-around.
  • Gardens are open year-around. Blooming seasons vary.
  • Tennis activities are available from April to November.
  • Water activities can be enjoyed from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
  • Entrance Fee:
    • $8.00 - Buses
    • $2.00 - All others
    Annual passes can be purchased at the Front Gate or Welcome Center for $25.00. Entrance fees & Annual Admission do not include Admission to Special Events.
