
Celebrate reading, art, and creativity during Summer Reading 2025
The Forsyth County Public Library's annual Summer Reading program kicks off Friday, May 30.
Embark on a journey of art and creativity with The Forsyth County Public Library Summer Reading Program ... Color Our World! Art has the power to transform, uplift, and connect us, and the Forsyth County Public Library strives to do that every day for the communities we serve. We hope you’ll learn, try, and experience something new this summer through our programs, books, and services.
The young and young at heart can enjoy a variety of art programs this summer, and branches will be putting many of their usual programs, from Storytimes and STEM activities to book clubs and exercise classes. And as always, all Forsyth County Public Library programs are programs are free and open to the public.
Plan your summer by checking out the Library's online calendar, and printed calendars will be available at all branches while supplies last. Our featured programs will include many not-to-miss experiences for all ages.
When you’re not attending programs or performances at branches, we hope you’ll take some time this summer to read. Librarians have curated more than a dozen reading recommendation lists for multiple age groups and genres.
Attending programs and reading books can do more than just enrich your life or teach you something new. You can also win prizes! Details will be released on Friday, May 30, 2025. Watch for information on the Reading Logs page, social media channels, and in-branch communications .

Learn to make salsa with summer's bounty of fresh produce at Salsa in the Making on Tuesday, June 24 from 1-3 p.m. at the Lewisville Branch Library.
If you like to travel but need a few pointers to get started with making a plan, come to one of the Color Your World with a Great Getaway workshops to be held on Monday, June 2 at 6:30 p.m. and Thursday, June 5 at 10 a.m. at the Lewisville Branch Library.
