Black History Keeps Happening

February is Black History Month. This year's theme is Black Health and Wellness.

The Forsyth County Public Library celebrates Black History all month long.

Some programs adhere to the theme such as Traditional Medicine in the African Atlantic Diaspora on Feb. 8 at the Lewisville Branch, but we have a variety of activities and events covering all kinds of topics, including genealogy, trivia, and film screenings.

Literacy itself is an aspect of health and wellness, and an understanding of Black history is central to understanding American history.

See our Black History Month flyer below for program highlights, and check the events calendar for more listings.

The flyer is two-sided. Click the arrows at the right and left sides to view the reverse of the page. Use the +/- slider at the bottom right to zoom in.
