Corporal B. Sales and the Sex Offender Registry Unit staff worked diligently to host a regional training event at the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office. Due to the constantly changing laws regarding Sex Offender Registration, Corporal Sales secured a guest speaker, William Hart, from the North Carolina Attorney General’s Office who helped outline the most recent changes and assisted in applying these laws to the current registry requirements. Also present were legal representatives from the Forsyth County District Attorney’s Office .

Multiple Law Enforcement agencies attended, including NC Probation and Parole, US Marshal’s Office, and members of sheriff’s offices in Guilford, Davidson, Surry, Davie, Yadkin, and Stokes Counties. The event required extraordinary coordination by the Sex Offender Unit and it proved to be extremely successful and beneficial for all who attended. Corporal Sales and the Sex Offender Unit staff are commended for extraordinary efforts to assist not only our agency, but surrounding agencies regarding NC registry requirements.
