Ms. M. Burchette is a Fiscal Technician with over 23 years of experience with Forsyth County. The Sheriff’s Office budget has grown steadily over the years, thereby increasing the volume of transactions including invoice payments, etc. This volume is extremely high during the budget year-end process that ended on June 30, 2022. During this time there is a need to separate previous budget year invoices from new budget year invoices, along with a deadline from county finance to submit payments for the previous year, so that it can be closed. Ms. Burchette did a great job of handling the volume and deadlines with this process. She adjusted her vacation schedule to early June so that she would be available for the year-end processing. She submitted ongoing invoices and assisted with reviewing the Annual 7065 Report that designates the status of payments against Purchase Orders and contracts. With her efforts, the year-end process went very smoothly and the 7065 Report was submitted to finance on time. In addition, over the last couple of months, Ms. Burchette has assisted with team meetings and testing of certain modules for the new FC Connect Financial System that will be implemented later this year. She completed this additional workload while managing and completing daily tasks, along with the year-end processing. Ms. Burchette’s dedication and attention to detail are much appreciated and reflect positively on the Fiscal Management Division and Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office.
