Library Card Design Contest for Children

Hard to believe it has been six years since our last library card contest. Our children's cards have been a customer favorite from the start, and we're thrilled to bring the contest back. We need the help of young artists to help us design our next round of kid cards. Give us your original designs and your art could be shared with fellow young readers! Starting Friday, June 8th entry forms will be available at all of our library locations and on our website. See entry form for contest rules.

For ages 4-11. The contest runs from Friday, June 8th - Friday, July 27th. Winners will be announced Tuesday, September 4th.

IMPORTANT RULES OF THE CONTEST

  1. You MUST use the official FORM. The design must be horizontal. Marks above the line cannot be printed. If this form is reproduced, use WHITE paper ONLY!
  2. Crayons, markers, pen/ink, and pencils are eligible art mediums.
  3. Use your own artwork. Obvious tracings will not be accepted. Spell your words correctly! A misspelled word disqualifies your entry.
  4. Please PRINT your contact information. We need ALL this information if your library card is a winner.
  5. Take your completed entry form to any Forsyth County Public Library. THE DEADLINE FOR ENTRIES is FRIDAY, JULY 27th, by 6:00 P.M.

Judges are looking for original and creative ideas. You might:

    • Illustrate an original slogan about reading or books.
    • Draw something from a favorite book or a favorite subject.
    • Illustrate why you love the library.
    • USE YOUR IMAGINATION!

You may enter as many designs as you like. Copies of this form are available at any Forsyth County Public Library, or you may photocopy this form. WINNERS WILL BE ANNOUNCED TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 4TH!
