Foreign film series coming to Central

The Library will present a springtime foreign film series beginning in April featuring works from Spain, Germany, France and Australia. Join us as we explore and enjoy the works of four acclaimed foreign films. All screenings will be held in the Central Library Auditorium. Public performance rights preclude us from listing titles. April 26 at 7 pm. “The Orphanage” (Spain)
After purchasing the orphanage where she was raised, a woman is confronted with mysteries that connect the past with the present. Rated R.

May 3 at 7 pm “Mostly Martha” (Germany)
An obsessive/compulsive chef’s life is turned upside down when she unexpectedly becomes the caretaker for her niece. Rated PG.

May 10 at 6:30 pm “Lantana” (Australia)
The complex emotional lives of four couples are explored when a police detective investigates a woman’s disappearance. Rated R.

May 17 at 6:30 pm “With a Friend Like Harry” (France)
A man on vacation with his family encounters an all but forgotten childhood friend whose seemingly good intentions become increasingly intrusive. Rated R.
