We Have a Winner! "Going Green" Kindle Touch Given Away

Thank you to everyone who participated in our drawing for a Kindle Touch! Mr. Robert Griffin of Winston-Salem was our winner. Congratulations!

Customers who changed their notification status from mail or phone to a current email address during the month of April were entered into a drawing to win a free Kindle Touch. A total of 1,595 library customers went green with electronic notifications. The Kernersville Branch received the most entries with 324, followed closely by Central Library with 303, and Reynolda Manor Library with 249.

The giveaway honored National Library Week (April 8-14) and Earth Day (April 22). Customers who were already being notified by email could also participate in the drawing by contacting the library to verify that their email address was up-to-date. The updates flooded in through personal visits, phone calls, emails, requests through Ask Your Librarian, and the online catalog. Again, thank you! Your switch saves staff time and library expense by going green through email.

For more information or to update your account anytime, please stop by your local library branch, call 336-703-BOOK (2665) or email our Ask a Librarian.
