2012 Volunteer of the Year

Mrs. Patty Dalton has volunteered 827 hours to the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office during the course of 2012. She has worked many of the Crime Prevention events, to include parades, Dixie Classic Fair, Clemmons Day and other community events. Patty has also been phenomenal when requested to provide assistance to the agency in many other areas, which include the Courtroom, CALEA Office, Sex Offender Registry Section, Training Section, Human Resources, Records Unit and the Administrative Services Division.

Several commanders and managers of these areas have asked for Patty by name as she has always demonstrated professional competence, attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidentially at all times. She has quickly acquired the understanding needed to complete tasks and has always delivered a first class professional product. As a complimentary term of affection, she has been given the name of “The Swiss Army Knife of Volunteers” due to her versatility and ability to accomplish any given task.

There are many dedicated volunteers in the Sheriff’s Citizens Patrol Volunteer Program. Mrs. Patty Dalton is the absolute personification of the ideal volunteer. She provides leadership and mentors many of the other volunteers. Patty has performed many critical assignments as a volunteer and in doing so, has saved substantial tax payer resources in this time of reduced resources for county government entities.
