2014-2015 Season of Books Announced

The Friends of the Kernersville Library Noon Book Club began their 2014-2015 season on Thursday, September 4th; 12:00 noon-1:00 pm in the Paddison Room of the library. The public is encouraged to attend whether you've read the book or not. No registration is required. The meetings will be held September–November and January-May on the first Thursday of the month.

September 4, 2014- Danny Jefferson, author of From 'Hear' to Forever will speak.
October 2, 2014- We will discuss Ron Rash's Serena as part of the On the Same Page event. Michael Ackerman will lead this talk.
November 6, 2014- Nancy Farnham will lead the talk on North Carolina books. Robert Morgan's The Road from Fancy Gap along with Margaret Maron's books will be discussed.
January 8, 2015- Due to the New Year's Holiday, this meeting will take place on the second Thursday in January. Charles Lovett, author of The Bookman's Tale will lead our discussion!
February 5, 2015- A special discussion on the cultural and literary impact of African Americans over the past century will be held. A Black History Month program.
March 5, 2015- Open Sharing. We will discuss books that you are currently reading. Shirley O’Brien will facilitate this session.
April 9, 2015- Jennifer Bean Bower, author of Animal Adventure in North Carolina, will speak. Please note that this is the second Thursday in April.
May 7, 2015- Our Kernersville librarians will reveal the best books your summer reading!
