Natural Abstractions by Rob Norwood

Art works by by Rob Norwood are on display at the Walkertown Branch Library through the end of November. These oil paintings on canvas represent an abstracted view of nature, and hopefully will help the viewer to observe nature in a new way. The trees are depicted as vertical cross-sections, including the branches and the roots, not as part of a typical landscape. There are unexpected color combinations, with layers of color and texture. The paintings are done with a palette knife instead of a brush.They are so pleasing to look at!
