This week in Summer Reading!

We have had a blast this summer and we hope you have too. There are still three fun-filled weeks left in our Summer Reading Program and this week's events are going to take the fun up a notch. Remember, it’s never too late to register online to keep track of all the reading you’re doing this summer.

Our featured performer, Peppercorn Theatre, is still making their rounds to all the locations. Their original production about American physician and NASA astronaut, Dr. Mae Jemison is a hit with all age groups. If you haven’t seen it yet, you can catch it at our Carver Branch (July 15th @ 10:15 am), Malloy Jordan East Winston Heritage Center (July 16th @ 3 pm), Southside Branch (July 15th @ 3pm) and Walkertown Branch (July 17th @ 3pm).

For all you animal lovers, we have two programs that you are going to go wild over. On July 16th at 2pm, the Winston-Salem Canine Unit will be at our Central location to show off their skills. The next day, July 17th, a special program put on by the NC Zoo will happen at both our Reynolda Manor Branch (at 11 am) and Rural Hall Branch (at 2pm). There you will be investigating the science of animal locomotion. Participants will travel through air, water, and over land to discover the many fascinating ways animals get around their environments.

Teens will get to enjoy a night of fun, freedom and FOOD at our Reynolda Manor Branch’s Teen Night, Wednesdays starting at 4pm.

Adults we haven’t forgotten about you, join us at the Central Library for the final film in our Sci-Fi Tuesdays series. We're going to show the adaptation of Orson Scott Card's classic novel Ender's Game, starring Asa Butterfield and Harrison Ford.

Don’t forget to check out our calendar for other exciting programs next week and every week.

Kids and Teens, here's a special achievement code for this week: Srwk6. Come back each week for a new code and like our Facebook page for even more codes.
