Softer, Calmer Music & Movement for One Day, Oct. 30

Music and Movement offers children and their caregivers musical enrichment and easy exercise for thirty minutes on Thursday mornings. Playing with a variety of songs and moving to a range of rhythms enhances musical competence. Libraries become fun places where stories are heard lyrically and language emerges rhythmically.

The half-hour class targets ages birth-through-five.

Adult participation adds to the fun. Children absorb and imitate what they see during this class. A range of responses is expected from little ones: some follow along, while others enjoy a warm lap and watch, waiting to sing on the way home. Join us to sing, dance, and play-along at 10:30 am every Thusday this fall.

Note: Due to Early Voting, October 30's class will meet in the Children's Area of the library proper. We'll have a quieter, less-energetic class with some book-related musical stories. After Early Voting and Election Day, we'll resume our high-energy fun November 6th, 13th, and 20th.
