Wanted: Kids to read to a dog at Walkertown Branch

Kids, sign up to practice your reading with a Tail-Waggin' Tutor at Walkertown Branch! Call anytime to register to read to this gentle dog in December.

Tesla, a trained therapy dog, loves children. With calm attentiveness and patience, she delights in helping students learn to read.

Registration for ages 6 - 11 only is required due to limited space. Call 703-2990 to reserve a reading turn for Monday, December 22, 6 -7 pm. Tesla and her owner/trainer Shelly Pruitt are certified with Therapy Dogs International (TDIĀ®), a volunteer organization that regulates, tests, and registers dogs and their volunteer handlers for visiting nursing homes, hospitals, and other institutions.
