Holiday craft class Saturday, December 6th in Walkertown

Holiday craft class with the art instructor Priscilla Williams will be held at the at the Walkertown Library on Saturday, December 6th. In this class you be making a take home Christmas tree centerpiece and discovering new ways to make fun and festive Christmas decorations with a few simple supplies and your imagination.

Priscilla Williams is a local multi-medium artist, and owner of “A Creative Mind.” Presently, she is a youth instructor at the Sawtooth School for Visual Arts, where she teaches mixed medium art. She has displayed work in various galleries in North Carolina and Alabama.

Oftentimes, thinking “green” and being mindful of how she can do her part to save our environment yet create something beautiful, she works with found objects and recycled materials such as newspapers, beads, egg and nut shells, broken glass, and the like. As she creates her artwork, she finds herself stimulated and relaxed at the same time.

"When I start of my creative process, I have an abstract idea of the end product; however, as I work with these materials, my artwork takes on a life of its own that becomes much more than the object that I had envisioned, thus each product is unique".

The holiday art class is free and open for adults and teens. Please sign up for the class by calling 336-703-2990 or via email walkertownlibrary@gmail.com.
