Informational Meeting: Extension Master Gardener

Extension Master Gardener Volunteers (EMGVs) support the horticulture program at Forsyth County Cooperative Extension. EMGVs assist with educational programs and the maintenance of demonstration gardens. If you enjoying gardening and serving your community, this may be a great opportunity for you!

We invite all those who are interested in becoming an EMGV in Forsyth County to attend an information session on Tuesday, January 31 from 3:00 to 4:00 PM at the Extension Building (1450 Fairchild Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27105). We encourage you to attend in order to learn more about the EMGV program and to meet the Extension horticulture staff.

During this meeting, we will share information about Extension and how EMGVs uphold and support Extension's work in our community. We will also give an overview of EMGV class and the requirements for earning and maintaining an Extension Master Gardener certification. Finally, we will discuss opportunities for you to volunteer with the Extension Horticulture program prior to taking the course.

Please RSVP to Erin McSpadden at ebmcspad@ncsu.edu or 336-703-2848 if you plan to attend. You can view some more information about the program here: http://forsyth.cc/CES/LawnGarden/master_gardener.aspx.

For accommodations for persons with disabilities, please contact our office no later than five days before the event.
