The Short Story Society Reads James Baldwin

Thursday, February 2 at 4:00 pm at the Clemmons Branch Library

In honor of Black History Month, the Short Story Society will discuss "Sonny's Blues" by celebrated African-American author James Baldwin at their next meeting. A math teacher finds out that his younger brother Sonny has gotten into trouble with the law for selling and using heroin. What drove Sonny to a life of drugs? Where did their paths diverge?

Haven't heard of the Short Story Society? Not to fret! It's one of Forsyth County Public Library's newest clubs, dedicated to reading and discussing new and classic short stories. We always meet on the first Thursday of each month at 4:00 pm at the Clemmons Branch. All readers aged 15 and up are welcome.
