Local History Lecture Series: The Golden Age of Piracy

Shiver Me Timbers! Local author, M.H. Healy will dazzle us with all there is to know about the golden age of piracy and why North Carolina truly is the Pirate State. Learn about their daily lives, Old World nautical terms and slang still used in our language today, the difference between a privateer and a pirate, and common punishments for pirates.
