Lieutenant Gregory E. Joyce retires

Lieutenant Gregory Joyce began his Law Enforcement career in 1995. Lieutenant Joyce earned several promotions throughout his career with his most recent promotion to the rank of Lieutenant on January 30, 2016.

During his career, Lieutenant Joyce earned both the Intermediate & Advanced Law Enforcement Certificates. Lt. Joyce also received several letters of commendations, 20 Years of Commendation Bar and special achievement for obtaining the “Highest State Exam Score.”

Lieutenant Joyce was remarkable as he served in the U.S. Army, E-4 Specialist 4-Grade, E-5 Sergeant, and U.S. Army Infanty 11B1P. He received several medals and badges as well as being a sniper, serving on the shooting team and he was an Instructor.

Throughout the course of his career, Lieutenant Joyce served in various capacities within the Judicial Services Division, Investigative Services Division, Field Services Division and the Professional Standards Division. At the time of his retirement, he was the Lieutenant in the Professional Standards Division.

The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office wishes Lieutenant Gregory E. Joyce all the best in his future endeavors.
