Celebrate LGBTQ Pride Month With Great Reads From the Forsyth County Public Library.
Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ) Pride Month, which is celebrated in June, recognizes the contributions of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender individuals and commemorates the 1969 Stonewall Uprising in Manhattan.

OUT at the Movies, Winston-Salem and North Carolina’s LGBT Film Series, was founded in August 2004 by Rex Welton and Lee Mecum. Since that time, the festival has brought new and noteworthy LGBT films to viewers every October and worked throughout the year to provide a platform for community and ally voices.
