Introducing the Forsyth County Public Library Artist-in-Residence program

2022 Artist in Residence Program at Forsyth County Public Library

The Forsyth County Public Library invites emerging and established artists in the Forsyth County area to apply for the inaugural FCPL Artist-in-Residence program at Central Library. We are looking for artists in all creative disciplines to share their creative process with the community through time spent onsite at each of the Forsyth County Public Library’s 10 locations, collaborating with library staff to provide educational programs or discussions and culminating in a final project to be presented at Central Library. Central Library is a state-of-the-art facility which includes a studio makerspace, an art gallery, a sound editing studio and a 280-seat auditorium with drop down screen and sound system, situated on a beautiful campus with a grass lawn and reading garden in downtown Winston-Salem.

The residency would be for 7 months, beginning November 2022. It will include a stipend, with programming supplies provided by the Library and its partners. The stipend may be determined by the number of participating artists selected.
