Detention Officer III Thurman Wooten Retires

Detention Officer III Thurman Wooten began his Law Enforcement career in 1999. Detention Officer Wooten earned several promotions throughout his career with his last promotion to Detention Officer III in 2022.

During his career, Detention Officer Wooten earned two letters of commendations, the 20 Years’ Service Commendation Bar, and the Honorary Rank of Private First Class/Senior Floor Officer. Detention Officer Wooten served in the U.S. Army as an E-4 Specialist from 1995 – 1998. He received the Army Expert Marksmanship Badge with rifle bar, Army service ribbon, and the National Defense Service Medal with 01 bronze star.

Detention Officer Wooten spent his entire years of service in the Law Enforcement Detention Center.

The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office wishes Detention Officer III Thurman Wooten all the best in his future endeavors.
