Best Friends: How Therapy Dogs Can Help

Ever wanted to learn what a therapy dog does? On Dec. 10, the Lewisville Branch will get a visit from Marcia Pearce, a therapy dog handler, and her Great Dane, Chance. Chance and Marcia have made over 600 visits to hospitals and organizations, earning Chance the title of "AKC Therapy Dog Supreme", the highest honor the AKC gives to therapy dogs. Marcia will talk about how therapy dogs can help people and what they do on their visits. Chance will also be available for doggie hugs, kisses, and pets! Recommended for teens but all are welcome.
