Celebrating National Library at the Lewisville Branch

During National Library Week (April 23-29), the Lewisville Branch wants to connect with its community through fun and engaging events. Stop by the library and participant in one or more of the following activities:

-Take a Shelfie! – Library/Reading photo props will be available for customers to use to take photos of themselves in their favorite spot or section of the library. Customers will be able to share those photos with staff to be posted on social media or turned into a button.

-Library Trivia Game – Customers will have their knowledge tested regarding their local library and/or classic book titles. Correct entries will be entered to win a "sweet" prize.

-Library Search & Find – Search the Children's Area for our hidden images. Find them all and get a prize! For all ages. Free and open to the public. Please call 336-703-2940 for more information.

-Movie Matinee “The Public” (Wednesday, April 26 at 5:30 p.m.) - A librarian helps a group of homeless people take refuge from a brutal winter night by staging a sit-in at the free public library. A misunderstanding causes his noble act to wrongly escalate into a hostage situation with a political candidate and a TV reporter stoking the drama for their own agendas. Produced by Universal Pictures and stars Alec Baldwin, Emilio Estevez, Michael K. Wright and Gabrielle Union. (122 mins. and Rated PG-13)
