"Chopped: A Novel" - Author Talk with Dale M. Pollock

It's the 1850s and the richest man in Boston has gone missing. A Harvard professor has been found with the remains of his body in his laboratory vault. The stenographer hired to transcribe the trial starts an investigation of his own to solve the mystery. Come hear what local author Dale M. Pollock has to say about this vintage crime mystery and his exploration of the murder investigation that involved the country's first use of forensics and court stenography as he discusses Chopped, his first novel, which is based on his family history.

Pollock is a writer, lecturer, film producer, and UNCSA cinema professor. Pollock's previous book is the bestselling biography Skywalking: The Life and Films of George Lucas. (1983)
