Learn About Color and Dimension in Art While Using Paints and Pencils

Learn about the basics of color theory and ways to create dimension at the Lewisville Branch Library at one of three 90-minute classes to be held in July on Color Theory and Dimension: Explorations with Paint and Pencil (see below for dates and times). Students will apply concepts taught by local artist Nannette Davis using the mediums of watercolor paint, colored pencils, or both in this workshop.

Specific areas of study will be color value, color schemes, an exploration of the moods that different colors can evoke, as well as the use of shading and color to create dimension, whether with monochromatic or dynamic combinations.

These classes are designed for adults though appropriate for youth ages 14 and older. Registration is required and limited to 10 persons per class. Registration opens Monday, June 30 for all classes (see below).
