Our last pollen blog of the season is finally here! From late summer through the first hard frost, the type of pollen that causes the most trouble is ragweed. Thankfully, airborne pollen levels are naturally declining this time of year, so allergy sufferers should experience relief soon. Huge thanks to the Allergy & Asthma Center of NC for partnering with the Forsyth County Office of Environmental Assistance and Protection and sharing their expertise through this series of blog posts. To track pollen types and levels, check the Forsyth County Daily Pollen Report. Although pollen production takes a hiatus during the winter months, be sure to check our reports sometime in early to mid-February, when tree pollen will return to the Triad.
