May's issue of Forsyth County News is out now!
- County Manager to Present Recommended Budget: The FY 2026–2027 recommended budget will be presented on May 7, following the Commissioners Meeting, with additional workshops, a public hearing, and a possible adoption on June 4.
- Donation Stations at Farmers Markets: Residents can donate fresh produce at local farmers markets throughout the summer to support families in need, with locations at multiple farmers markets.
- Health Fair & Naloxone Training: Behavioral Health will host a resource fair at Old Town Neighborhood Center on May 12, followed by a naloxone training on May 19, teaching participants how to reverse opioid overdoses.
- Cooperative Extension Honors Volunteers: Local Extension volunteers were recognized for contributing over 16,000 hours of service in 2025, supporting nearly 20,000 residents.
- Maternal Care Training: Public Health hosted a simulation training to help providers improve communication, patient advocacy, and respectful care during pregnancy and postpartum.
