Winners of Children's Library Card Design Contest Selected

Children who sign up for a library card from the Forsyth County Public Library will soon have one of three beautiful new designs emblazoned on their cards courtesy of our recently concluded children's library card design contest. Congratulations to Sarah Richards (age 9), Nicholas Lamphier (age 11) and Emily Richards (age 7) whose work was selected as our three winning entries.

In an effort to give children their own identity when signing up for a library card we held a contest asking kids, ages 4 to 12, to submit a design for a new card. After receiving over 150 entries three were selected to go on our new children's cards. Judges were impressed with the breadth of creativity and imagination expressed by the entries according to Children's Room supervisor Nan Larosee. "You could literally see the love of books and the library come through in the kids designs,we were really impressed with their effort and the work they put into their entries."

We invite you to view the winning entries plus several other entries that the judges were impressed with.
