Great Program with Dan Smith

On September 25th, the Rural Hall Branch Library hosted singer/ songwriter Daniel Justin Smith and his program "Adventures in SongCraft: Art Inspiring Art". Needless to say, everyone walked away very pleased with the talent and thought process of Daniel Smith.

Daniel spoke of how he was inspired to write some of his own music pieces. He also referred to books such as Where the Red Ferns Grow by Wilson Rawls, The Education of Little Tree by Forrest Carter, The Alchemist, by Paulo Coelho, and Thirteen Moons, by Charles Frazier as inspiration for some of the pieces he shared with us that night.

Want to get inspired by these classics as well? All of these books are available at the Rural Hall Branch Library and surrounding library branches. Visit our online catalog here.To see photos of this amazing event visit our Forsyth County Public Libraries' Flikr account here.
