American Heart & Stroke Walk
When is the Walk? The 2012 Tanglewood Heart & Stroke Walk will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at Tanglewood Park in Clemmons, NC.
Where is the Walk? The Walk starts and finishes at the Concert Shell within Tanglewood Park, located at 4201 Manor House Circle, Clemmons, NC 27012.
What time does the Walk begin? The gates open at 7:30 am, the festivities will begin at 8:00 am, and the Walk will start at 9:00 am.
Where do I turn in money? Donations may be turned in at the Registration Tent the morning of the Walk. Only walkers who need to turn in money the morning of the Walk need to check-in. Those walkers registered online do not need to check-in.
Where do I pick up the Company Signs? AHA will provide a sign for each company. Please designate a person from your company to check-in and receive their sign. Please feel free to instruct your team to congregate around your team sign. Simply return the sign after the Walk at the Finish Line.
Where do I park? Parking is Free - Simply follow the signs once inside Tanglewood Park.
What is the Walk Route like? There are two route options, a one mile and a four mile route. Both will start at the Concert Shell. The one mile will loop back into the Concert Shell, while the four mile route will continue on at the Stables. There will be Hydration Stations along the route as well. Please follow the signs along both routes. You may run the route as well as utilize strollers.
What about bad weather? The Walk will be held rain or shine!
Are there other activities? In addition to the Walk, there will be plenty of fun and educational activities for children and adults.
May I bring my dog? Yes, but dogs must be current on their vaccinations, non-aggressive, and on a leash at all times. Doggy clean-up stations are available.
