Sensory Storytime: Developmentally Appropriate & Inclusive

Starting this fall, Forsyth County Public Library will be offering a new program for kids. Our Sensory Storytime for All Ages is a storytime for everyone, but will focus on children with special needs and their families or caregivers. Therapeutic activities springing from picture books will delight children with autism spectrum disorders or sensory integration challenges.

Our first storytime will be held at the Rural Hall Branch Library, on Saturday, October 18, starting at 11am. The theme Colorful Apples should bring smiles all around as librarians aim to stimulate the senses of sight, sound, and touch. Come enjoy the books Apple Pie Tree by Zoe Hall and Up, Up, Up!: It's Apple-Picking Time by Jody Fickes Shapiro.

Saturday, October 18, at 11 am
