Teens in middle and high school are invited to participate (or just listen) at our poetry jam each month in Teen Central. Hosted by Piemont SLAM and the library, the jam happens on the last Tuesday of the month. Signups start at 5 p.m., and the jam at 5:30. If you've never participated, come see what it's like. Want to improve your skills? This is the place!

Joining the Teen Advisory Council is a Win-Win Situation

You need volunteer hours for school or college applications. Teen Central needs your help. You can share your ideas about books, programs, and the Teen Central facility when you join our Teen Advisory Council. We meet every other month, munching on snacks and discussing what we can do in YOUR teen space. TAC members get first reads of the new prepub books, too. Call 703-3080 or 703-3081 for more information. TAC is open to youth in grades 6-12.

    Bored? Try Board Games!

You've stared at a computer long enough. Video games aren't doing it for you anymore. You'd like to try something different and play with others. You need to visit Teen Central! We've got lots of board games, and each month we feature 2 different ones. This program is for youth in grades 6-12. For more information, and to discover this month's games, please call 703-3080 or 703-3081.
